Problem: To create a vectorized map of a place that is important to me.
Solution: I decided to make a map of the southwestern U.S. state, Arizona, because I was born in the city of Tucson. There are also plenty of destinations and points of interest that appeal to me there. Once I made this decision, I created a list of places I wanted to showcase. I researched each and began drawing icons for them. Once I had my drawings, I traced them in Adobe Illustrator and chose a color palette.

Below are some sketches I did before tracing in Adobe Illustrator and one of the final versions of the map. I also animated the cactus in Adobe After Effects.
